Translate content and forms
Add translated articles, collections and forms so visitors read them in their own language.

If your workspace has more than one language, you can translate the copy visitors read: content items, collection names and forms. Anything you leave blank falls back to your default language, field by field.
Your workspace's languages#
help.ai sets the languages for your workspace. Unless yours was set up differently, they're English, which is the default, plus French, Spanish, Arabic and Hebrew. If a language you need is missing, contact the help.ai team.
Editors show a language bar with each language by its own name, such as Français. The default language is marked default, and a dot marks languages that already have a translation.
Translate a content item#
- In Content, open a new or existing item.
- In the language bar next to Content, select a language.
- Enter the translated Title, Description and Body. Each blank field shows the default copy as a hint.
- Select Create content or Save changes.
The collection, tags and settings are shared across languages. Change them in the default language.
Translate a collection#
In Content, select Edit on a collection, select a language next to Collection, enter a translated Title and Description, and select Save changes. Settings are shared across languages.
Translate a form#
- In Forms, open the form.
- In the language bar next to Form details, select a language.
- Translate the Title, Description and Submit button. Under Questions, translate each question's Label, and its Placeholder, Helper text and Options where it has them.
- Select Save changes.
Field keys, types, options and settings are shared across languages. Change them in the default language.
Arabic and Hebrew fields are written right to left.
What visitors see#
To choose which languages the widget offers and how it picks one, see Offer the widget in several languages.
Finish the default-language version first. Questions, options and settings come from it, so changing them later can leave translations out of step.
